Australian Marine Complex, WA
We were called in on reputation to dredge 6,000 cubic metres of sand and hard limestone rock in front of and also underneath of the 3000 tonne wharf structure to a depth of -11.0 CD. Rock hardness was tested at 28MPa and special dredging technologies were developed. Another 5,000m3 was dredged to deepen other areas of the harbour. No damage could be done to the structure, piles or their surface treatments.
This project produced a very pleased and relieved client who had been in a real bind when the wharf was built prior to the rock dredging instead of the other way around.
